‘The FENIX 2025 Call for Proposals is now open!
Benefit from the FENIX research infrastructure resources and take your project to the next level. Access to our services is straightforward and free of charge, and evaluation of the applications follows the peer review principles established by PRACE. Access is offered through different paths depending on your field and affiliation.
Who can apply?
The FENIX dedicated 2025 Call for Proposals is open to all Europe-based researchers needing resource allocations regardless of funding sources. 10% of the available resources can be awarded to researchers from associated countries.
Researchers are eligible to apply for the call for proposals if they need Cloud computing services.
The allocations for this call are granted typically 3 months after the closure of the call.
Submission dates
Call : 24 November 2025 – 13 February 2026, 23h59 CET
The allocations start from May 2026 and are limited to 12 months for CINECA and JSC.

Don’t forget that the deadline to submit a proposal for the twelfth annual CECAM-Lorentz workshop is December 17 2025.
The CECAM-Lorentz collaboration calls for researchers to organize the twelfth annual CECAM-Lorentz Workshop to be held at CECAM-HQ, EPFL, Switzerland, between February and May 2027.
The CECAM-Lorentz program funds an annual workshop in computational simulation and modeling and its applications. We seek an innovative scientific program that takes us beyond our current boundaries in an open and interactive format with few lectures.
Although all topics are welcome, in this year’s call, we aim to specifically encourage proposals addressing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of computational science: between software and hardware. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, sustainable codes for atomistic and molecular simulations, data science, scientific image analysis, or sustainable ML/AI.
Organizing teams and participant lists that reflect an interdisciplinary spirit, as well as a clear motivation for the chosen interdisciplinary approach, are particularly encouraged. Diversity in gender, geographical provenance, career stage – among both organizers and participants – is strongly advised and will be considered in the evaluation process.

The call will be open until December 17, 2025, and short-listed applications will be invited to present a full application by March 1, 2026. The outcome will be communicated in April 2026.

Réunion ThéMoSiA : perspectives sur les moyens de calcul
From the ThéMoSiA website: Our next Prospect Meeting will be held in Marseille (Luminy site) 20-21 November 2025. The meeting will be held in French.
The objectives of the meeting will be to present an inventory of the calculation means used by or available to the community, to discuss the evolution of models of access or financing of resources and finally to discuss the current and anticipated evolution of architectures and the adaptations or blockages that this could generate for the community. The meetings will be punctuated by presentations as well as roundtables.
Session 1: Thursday, November 20, 9:15 a.m. – 12 p.m. “Assessment, issues and evolution(s) of architectures and offerings”.
Session 2: Thursday November 20 2 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. “Mesocenters in France”.
Session 3: Friday November 21 9 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. “Examples of resource use or development”.
Webinaires
‘Le GDR ThéMoSiA lance un appel à contributions à destination des
doctorants et post-doctorants souhaitant présenter leurs travaux lors
des prochains webinaires du réseau.
Ces webinaires ont pour objectif de mettre en valeur les recherches
menées au sein de la communauté et de favoriser les échanges entre
jeunes chercheurs et permanents.
Le format des interventions est souple et convivial : les présentations
peuvent porter aussi bien sur vos résultats scientifiques que sur votre
parcours de recherche ou vos nouveaux projets.

Séminaire IAG et enseignement à PLEIADES
Voici la description de la playlist sur UL’TV : « Le jeudi 05 juin 2025 a eu lieu le séminaire IAG & Enseignement, organisé par le projet PLEIADES au pôle Herbert Simon à Nancy. Il était à destination des enseignant·e·s et enseignant·e·s chercheur·euse·s de l’Université de Lorraine. Durant toute la journée, conférences, tables rondes et débat mouvant leur ont été proposés afin d’échanger et d’en apprendre plus l’intelligence artificielle générative (IAG) et son impact sur l’enseignement. Formations (locales, nationales)
Entre le 2/9 et le 16/12, les formations en chimie computationnelle organisées à Strasbourg pour le master chémoinformatique et reconnues par ThéMoSiA sont mises en disposition en ligne. Cette année, il s’agit des modules chémoinformatique, chimie quantique, modélisation moléculaire (Tot. = 30h). N’hésitez pas à nous contacter rapidement si vous souhaitez les suivre.
- GENCI participe au Centre de Competence Francais CC-FR. Ce centre met à disposition des formations aux technologies de HPC, HPDA et IA, sous forme de formation initiale, formation continue MOOC.
- Le CINES met à disposition des formations sur le calcul intensif et l’archivage numérique. Information : formations__AT__cines.fr.
- L’IDRIS met à disposition un véritable catalogue de formations (dont de nombreuses qui sont gratuites pour les agents CNRS), à consulter ici. D’autres formations sont dispensées à TGCC.
